Ok so I have done a few beers. Its time for a change how about some onion rings (sort of).
From the pinnacle foods group of new jersey we have, Hawaiian Luau barbeque rings.
The onion flavour is lost in a collection of other flavours such as paprika and corn meal they are slightly spicy so see below for some refreshments. I won't say the salty spicy flavour drove me to drink but... anyway they are alright but I must learn not to expect onion flavour from fake onion rings such as this!

now the official word:
Bursting with the sweet and spicy flavor of traditional Hawaiian barbecue, these crispy onion ring chips are baked until golden, then seasoned to perfection.
  • Made of potato, cornmeal and spices
  • Contains milk, wheat and soy
  • Made in United States

CIDER BOYS Mad Bark

Cider boys mad bark apple cinnamon hard cider is just that, and less and more.
Less in that it is not a cider that hits you over the head with being a hard cider. It's really a lot like a decent apple juice. The more is that it also offers the good taste you get when apples and cinnamon combine.
Will I still look forward to the ciders that await me in England in a few months? You better believe it, but this at least makes the wait more entertaining.

North coast brewing company Wintertime ale

North coast brewing company Wintertime ale.
Cannot seem to find a lot about this beer on the website.
It would seem it is 5.3 ABV. and my own research tells me it is a mild but pleasant malt flavour.
Would I recommend it? Yes. Sure this is not my favourite but it has a decent amount of body and a good flavour. So with snow on the ground or the sun blazing down it can still be a pleasant wintertime.

Until we meet again I bid you taste.

Winter Storm category 5 ale

Well I better write quickly since the beer is going down fast. This is a good sign for the beer but if I am to tell you what I think then.... MMM... to quote Dexter Madison (see youtube)"I think i'll have that extra taste". I enjoy the irony that on one of the most sunny days we have had so far this year I am reviewing a beer called Winter Storm category 5 ale from the clipper city brewing company. It is infact so nice I decided to cook out. The Chicken and beef and the baked potatoe  are  just a few feet away on the grill. So back to  the beer yes slightly sweet but in a very good way flavourful but not overpowering best description is truthfully try it. Although mine was described as best by last month I think it tastes just fine this month too.
I fear sometimes that my reviews will cause people to decide to avoid something that they might enjoy even if i did not well this i enjoyed even if you do not like it. I will be surprised if yoy dont but they say their is no accounting for taste.Normally I put the official words on this product I could not find it. Until we meet again I bid you taste.

ISLAND PRINCESS MOCHI-POP

For those of you that have not visited World Market I suggest you do. Wine, beer, and food from around the world, and around the corner. Sure they have furniture and toys and all sorts of things but this blog is about tastes of the tongue, and not those that are more fashion and design.
It was in the markdowns that I found Mochi pop. It is good as an alternate to some popcorn snacks and if you like rice crackers then it's two treats in one. I enjoyed it as a change but don't believe I would ever want to pay the $3.99 it was originally ticketed at. I paid about 90 cents. About right.

Not so Rocky Road

A recent trip to  TSC (Tractor Supply Company) for rabbit food afforded me another look at the bargains they often have in baskets at the front of the store. Being hungry and with my daughter I was excited to find Annabelle's Rocky Road. Three words and the price tag caught my eye Cashews and milk chocolate and the price tag of was $1.49 now $.50. I love all of these things, so one for me and one for my daughter. Did I mention that I was not wearing my glasses,BAD IDEA. First thing my daughter noticed was that it said, clearly,  marshmallow. To my defense the sticker was over the word marshmallow. Since my wife and kids are vegetarian this was a no-no. Then I realised I had a stress test the next day, so caffeine was not on my approved list. That was then and this is now, so today I thought I would give it a try. Since the thing attracting me to it was the cashews my reaction was disappointment. It seems to me that spring is here and the road crew have smoothed out those rocky roads and all I got was the occasional piece of gravel. In other words the cashews were too small and too rare. In fairness if you want a chocolate covered marshmallow bar with a hint of cashew it was pretty good. For my tastes today I wanted to be a little nuttier. Well, try one for yourself but don't expect a lot of cashews!
